A mini-documentary for Girls Club of Los Angeles, made to share what the club offers.

Mini-documentaries for Los Angeles nonprofits and schools

A highlight reel

Music, slow motion and smiling faces from the gala. It looks good and gets posted once. It tells people you held an event. It doesn't tell them what their money did.

A donor who watches your program at work is far easier to ask than one who reads about it.

A recap shows the room. A mini-documentary shows the change.

A mini-documentary

One real story, told by the person who lived it, filmed where it happened. By the end, a viewer understands what your program does and why it matters. It keeps working long after the event.

What a mini-documentary looks like

Most of our films follow one person through three moments. We shape the story around your program, not a template.

1. Where it started

Someone describes the moment they first came to you, and what they were facing.

2. What you did

We see your staff and your program at work, in the rooms where it happens.

3. What changed

They say in their own words what is different now, and why they would send someone else to you.

Donors and gala guests

Open your event or your appeal with the story, so people understand your impact before you ask.

One film that keeps working all year

Grant applications

Link the film in your proposal and annual report, so reviewers see the outcome you describe on the page.

Board and funder meetings

Show it at the start of the meeting, so the room is talking about results, not slides.

Your website and social media

Put it where new families and supporters land first, and cut short versions for social media.

How it works

1. A short call. We talk about your program and who you need to reach. Nothing is committed.

2. We plan the story with you. Together we choose the person, the places and the message.

3. We film on site. Usually one to two days, working around your program instead of stopping it.

4. You get your film. A main film plus short versions for social media, delivered on the timeline we agree.

Why organizations work with us

We have more than 15 years of experience and have worked with more than 40 clients in the past three years. Everything happens under one roof: planning, filming with professional lighting, sound and drone footage, and editing. We turn films around fast, and we can produce them in English or Spanish.

Because we also photograph your events, your photos and your film look like they belong together.

What is a mini-documentary?

A short film that tells the story of your program through the people it serves. It's made to share with donors, boards and funders.

How is it different from a highlight video?

A highlight video shows how your event looked. A mini-documentary shows why your work matters and what it changed.

What does it cost?

It depends on how many filming days and versions you need. We'll give you a clear quote after a short call. Our guide to video pricing in Los Angeles explains what drives the cost.

Can the film be in Spanish?

Yes. We can produce your film in English or Spanish.

Questions organizations ask

Let's choose the story to tell first

The next step is a short call, about twenty minutes, to pick one program and one person to build the film around. Nothing is committed on that call.
